  • Manitoba institutions strengthen their collaborations with each other.
  • Soil Scientists develop their research programs based on the most recent scientific developments.

Manitoba's Provincial Soil - NEWDALE

A valuable soil of the Eastern Prairies, the Newdale series is classified as an Orthic Black Chernozem. The Newdale soils formed in calcareous, loamy glacial till of limestone, granite and shale origin. Soils are moderately well drained and occur in mid to upper slope positions of hummocky landscapes.

Call For Abstracts - 2015 CLRA/ ACRSD – MSSS Joint Conference

The call for abstract submissions is now open.

Abstracts should be less than 300 words and should include the title, authors and their affiliations, and the email address of the corresponding author.

The organizing committee would like to thank those who submitted topic ideas and speaker suggestions for the special topic sessions, and especially those who have offered to convene sessions.

2015 CLRA/MSSS Joint Conference

A joint conference between The Canadian Land Reclamation Association/ Association Canadienne de Réhabilitation des Sites Dégradés (CLRA/ACRSD) and Manitoba Soil Science Society (MSSS) will be held on June 15-18, 2015 at the Radisson Winnipeg Downtown, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
